The Whole Rider Formative Assessment is probably unique - one assessment sheet which can be used to assess any rider, from novice to experienced

Intended for use at the start of a training course to determine which topics should be included, and suitable for use on the DSA’s Post-Test courses

Assessment Set Includes:

  • Introduction to ‘formative’ assessment
  • Explanatory notes
  • Marking and assessment overview

Whole Rider Pre-Training is a ‘short’ version of Whole Rider Formative Assessment, and should be sent to a trainee as a ‘prompt list’ of areas which could be included in their training

This assessment is valuable for instructors to help with their lesson and route planning

Assessment Set Includes:

  • Assessment sheet
  • Explanatory notes for the trainee

Whole Rider Classic is a ‘summative’ assessment, originally created for the BMF’s Blue Riband Advanced Award (used for both trainee and instructor assessments)

Classic is suitable for riders taking post-test training, marked against ‘Roadcraft’ criteria

The layout of the marking categories allows for ‘diagnostic’ marking

Assessment Set Includes:

  • Assessment Sheet
  • Marking guidelines

These assessment are available for free use by any instructor, tutor, or observer.

Send an e-mail to: info @ the-ride . info  and you’ll be sent a set of assessment sheets in pdf format
